Slanted's newly released autumn/winter issue, BEAT THAT IF YOU CAN: Women, Typography, Graphic Design, features projects from leading women in the typography and design fields. Issue #12 enthusiastically praises unique projects by creative women in design, giving them a heavy dose of overdue recognition. Included designers hail from Berlin, Amsterdam and London and share photo essays, fonts, and other recent works along with interviews.

Slanted, the German quarterly, focuses on current trends in typography, layout, illustration and photography and is printed in conjunction with its design blog, slanted.de.

"Both blog and magazine encourage and call for a debate on these subjects as an experimental field. It is also about getting to know them, seeing them in a different light, and to reflect on them."

The Druid Beat Series



The Druid Beat presents the film sculpture One Thousand Chemical Hypotheses Concerning the Subterranean Realms with an opening reception on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 7 PM at Space 15 Twenty. The screening will be accompanied with a live score. Subsequently the film will be showing each Friday night at 7 PM throughout the month of March.

This Friday night reception DJ services will be provided by Saman Keshavarz.
